The EDGE medical® CP1000 Robotic Bronchoscopy system adopts a dual-layer catheter design, where the guiding sheath (outer catheter) exhibits higher stiffness than the bronchoscope (inner catheter). The outer guiding sheath provides stable support for the bronchoscope, overcoming obstructions caused by airway curvature and constriction.
Featuring an omnidirectionally controlled flexible catheter architecture: Capable of 360° omnidirectional bending, with a maximum combined inner-outer catheter bending angle of 310°. This design enhances navigational capability in complex airways while minimizing mucosal irritation and tissue damage caused by catheter movement.
